Fire
Proofing

  • Passive fire stopping refers to the compartmentalization and fire protection of a fire to enable tenants of a building to escape within a given time frame. CTC specializes in the supply and installation of all manner of Passive Fire Stopping products.
  • Structural steel loses structural stability at 600 degrees. Legislation requires that structural steel supporting a floor above must be protected from fire to enable those above to escape within a given time period.
  • Intumescent coating is designed to protect structural steel for 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes, according to the required specified rating. In the event of a fire the coating will ‘intumesce’ and expand to form a thermally insulating layer of char to protect the steel beneath.

Rubber Lining

  • We have experience in rubber lining of pipe valves and chutes. We use WEIR rubber or alternative rubber for all linings, we also do ceramic linings.
  • We assist with inter pipelining, not just with rubber but also all wet paint applications.
